Melissa Root, Ph.D.
Dr. Melissa Root is the Founder and CEO of Root Success Solutions LLC, an innovative company that develops ways to maximize your brain. She created calmpak for enhanced well being and is seeing lives changed through its use.
Melissa invented calmpak after conducting research at UConn Health and seeing participants fall asleep in uncomfortable chairs in front of strangers when they listened to the type of psychological techniques found on calmpak. As a volunteer, she played those same recordings for patients at Yale New Haven Health and requests came pouring in for a way to listen at home. Calmpak was born as the solution.
Education remains at the core of Melissa’s life with an undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire and a doctorate in educational psychology from the University of Connecticut. She maintains a school psychology certification in Connecticut and also serves as President of OpSail Connecticut, Inc., a volunteer entity dedicated to sharing Connecticut’s Maritime Heritage.
Laura Stetler, M.A.
Laura Stetler is a Success Strategist with Root Success Solutions (RSS). She builds relationships and designs ways to get RSS’s Calmpak tool into as many hands as possible for enhanced rest and performance. Laura is an advocate for good rest given its impacts on our capacities, performance, and overall well being.
A conservatory-trained classical violinist and former trainer for the US Navy overseas, Laura is founder of The Wordshop, a company specializing in coaching through co-writing. She brings diverse experience to her work supporting human performance. Her familiarity with high-stress situations is informed by time with arts organizations, higher education institutions, and economic development as well as varying levels of government.
Laura is known for an adaptive, pragmatic approach with over 15 years as a military spouse and professional development in over 6 different locations, equipping her to understand and manage transitions. She completed her graduate studies at Goucher College in Administration and preceded that with formative undergraduate years at the prestigious New England Conservatory of Music studying music, brain development, and learning.
